Heidelberg Christmas market meetup

Hi guys and gals!

Would anyone like to get together on Saturday the 15th. I have been craving a few cups of gluhwein!

Does anyone know any good bars/restaurants for warming up afterwards? Dancing would be nice too.

There is a lebanese restaurant called Cedars that has really good food, but sadly enough that is the only restaurant I have been to there.

Any suggestions? Anyone in?

I'll probably be up for coming out then, but will let you know closer to the time. I like Cedar's too, if you ask them, they can make up gorgeous vegetarian platters and I've always wanted to try the shisha pipes they have upstairs:-).

Heidelberg is a little limited in the dancing department. However, Schwimmbad and a club next to Karlstorbahnhof put on decent nights sometimes. Eckstein is a kinda cheesy rock place, but its lively and cheap. if anyone knows where there's an indie rock disco, that would be great. But I don't mind.

@N-Ski: Sounds great! I have always wanted to try one of the pipes too!

Sadly enough hubs doesn't smoke and I'd feel silly toking one on my own!

The food there is soooo good. We dont eat anything but the chicken as neither one of us eat red meat..or lamb or whatever that stuff is..lol.

Actually there is a shisha cafe close to my place in Mannheim too...

When they used to smoke those downstairs I would sit and sniff the tobacco, it smelled so good! Was almost tempted to asked the table of strangers for a puff! lol!

I suppose they make you go upstairs nowadays?

I can always have a few cups of gluhwein as an appetizer or dessert.

Of course:-) But only if I can bring along one of the mentalists from the tram stop at Bismarckplatz:-)

I am keen for Saturday afternoon/evening in Heidelberg. I don´t know Heidelberg well - so I don´t have any suggestions for a particular place. Jazz sounds good though.

Jazz and Blues mostly, occasionally classic Rock. Not sure if they're having any jazz on that Saturday though, there's a Blues concert in there on the Friday before and a jazz jam session on Sunday after.

And they have Martinis of course.

Hi Guys! Sorry it took me so long to post...I've been hibernating today.

So, Hubs and I will be in HD around 6:00. (We have to pick up a friend in Darmstadt then come alllll the way back!)

I will PM my handy number so you can give a call and let me know where to meet you.

I am not quite sure where that "blatt-something" place is..lol.

So for those of you who came out last Saturday I just wanted to say it was so nice meeting you!

We had a really great time, more so after we were finally able to find the place! (Yes, I can get lost in a paper sack!)

Let me know where and when to meet again, I'll be trying one of those pretty blue drinks next time!
