Alternative to service hotline numbers

The 0180 Telefonbuch database contains the local number alternatives to many German service numbers.

You can search by company name and/or telephone number.

For example to call Lufthansa Reservations on 0180 - 5 83 84 26 it normally costs 14c/min. If you lookup Lufthansa and/or 01805838426 you find the local number 0561-9933171 (Kasel in Hesse). This is especially useful if you have a flat rate tariff for all of Germany.

Good tip, but beware - not all 0180 numbers are necessarily more expensive than normal numbers. 01802 numbers, for instance, have a fixed cost of 6 cents per call. For a longer call that might be cheaper than calling the normal number...
