Hello! I would like to connect my PC to my HDTV to watch movies from the internet. Which wireless adaptor do I need and where in Germany could I buy it?
The closest I found by searching on the internet was this one, but it is in the US and expensive. http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/PC-TV_GWB-4000.html
Thanks in advance,

The last device I had that did this was the Pinnacle showcenter 200. However there is now a newer version the 250.
It was an Ok device but not that great. Whatever device you choose to get be warned that high quality content such
as DVD or HD will not work on most devices, you will only wind-up with dropped, choppy, shipping video/audio
(Esp over a wireless link) A wireless connection for videostreaming is not a good idea..

Other devices to look for are:

Dreambox DM720S/DM725S
Apple TV (No Wireless, but best if you have a HD-TV)
Hush Box (Various to choose from)

The Mvix MV-760-HD is exactly what you want, i think. It is also exactly what i want.

The good thing about this box is the HDD (up to 750GB, i believe, which you can either buy with the Mvix or seperately) which does away with the need for streaming. You can transfer shows and songs onto the HDD via a wireless network and the built in media player will play them on your TV in HD quality (assuming the shows are recorded in HD and your TV is HD capable). If you use a bittorrent client to download content, it can automatically save the completed file to the HDD after completion ready for you to watch on your TV.

Bugger! (and it's not often I say that, never having practised it)), that's a cool piece of hardware at a good price...

Oooh, nice piece of kit. Would be nice if it had HDMI, as not all displays have DVI. Still using my CRT telly, but looking at a projector.

good that you mention that, my TV has 2 HDMI connections, but no DVI. Is there a cable to convert it or does that mean I can not use Mvix MV-760-HD?

yes

Linksys's Kiss multimedia player
I have seen excellent reviews for this device, it's the same price range, but much more versatile

no hard drive though so if you want to play stuff off your pc you have to stream which is not ideal for films.

Yes, that's right, but given that there is a USB input, and HD driver, you can use your own USB hard directly, anyway you have to buy this hard separately anyway...in kiss solution, it's a bit pricy as you have to get another case for the hard, which is built in the Mvix. the good side in the kiss is that it has already DVD drive, so it can easily replace your DVD player, also I would suppose that media compatibility (Divx and stuff) is superior compared to the common HD media players. (not every player claiming divx and mp4 is really compatible)

Here's another one.. it even has a BT client and can download your media while you sleep - Netgear EVA8000
With the Kiss-1600, while it doesn't have a built-in HD, it has a IDE DVD player and runs linux. With that said just open the box and install a 2.5in HD onto
the IDE chain and run one of the many hack/updates to add built-in HD support. You don't have to keep the standard software.. (Yes they even encourage this, and supply you with a restore disc)
