Good makes of webcam

Hey all,

I did a search on this but last thread was over a yr old.

I am looking to pick up a decent model webcam for my sister. She has an older model Mac (5yrs?) so I want to be sure it works for her. Also want to be able to use it with Skype. I was on amazon.com reading reviews and every model seems to have mixed reviews. "works w/ skype" "doesn't work w/ skype" "works for macs" etc, etc. Not sure if they have an ax to grind or just not in possession of the minor technical ability to set it up.

Anyway, wondering if anyone has a rec.

Logitech webcams which will work with iChat, Skype, Yahoo Messenger etc without installing (or buying) any software or drivers. Be careful, Logitech have released more than one webcam with the same or very similar names.

I've got one, can't remember the model. It isn't nearly as good as the built-in cameras in the new Macs. But it does work with no fuss at all - plug in and go.

What do I need to get High Quality Video? ...
