Chitown Boy Lost in Europe

Too upscale? No, Cafe Hadley's was PERFECT! I can't tell you how much we fell in love with the place. A couple of us actually did return on Sunday morning for Bloody Mary's (far from perfect, but they were acceptable). The place is just dark enough & cozy enough to sit and read on a lazy Sunday. Hell, even the waitress, wearing only a white T-shirt n jeans, looked like she just rolled out of bed (a very good look for her BTW).
And I'm a bit surprised that you thought it smoky?? On Sat night we sat upstairs (four of us, two smokers and two non). And all of us thought it was the first place we've found in this city where we could breathe. Admittedly the tables downstairs are a bit closer so if you are sitting next to smokers I could see that being annoying.
Oh, and we ate there on Sun, the bits we had were fantastic!! Although we got a good laugh from the menu – mostly café bits (soups, sandwiches, & salads, upscale kind of fare), and then chili & nacho’s?? Just didn’t seem to fit in with the cheese & olive plate…
Question, apparently there is a B&B next door or something by the same owners - do you know anything about it?
