English club Dresden Neustadt is a loosely knit bunch of poeple, native speakers and English speaking Germans. We are meeting every Wednesday evening in a different pub in Neustadt. Next week, November 21, we are meeting at Martinez, a Cuban place on Rudolf-Leonhard-Straße 31. Usually people show up between 8, 8.30, 9 o'clock. It ends when the last one leaves.

How you can find us? The secrest question is: "Is this the English club?"

It's always interesting to meet people from all over the world. And to share information about the city we live in.

How many people turn up to these meetups? Will it be a good way of improving my German or does everyone there speak English?

Hi malikos! On the weekly Wednesday meetings you are not allowed to speak German as it is English club. But still it is a good place to get to know some Germans. We also meet at the weekends for music and beer at a pub, hiking, ice-skating or party and then we can speak in German. On average there are 8 to 12 people.

English club Dresden Neustadt is meeting at Irish Fiddler, the quite new Irish pub on Louisenstraße 56 on Wednesday, April 23.

Hi all. I recently (1 week ago) moved to Dresden from South Carolina and would like to meet up with the fellow english speakers tonight. Will the group be large enough that I don't have to ask around for the english group or is the place small enough that you'll be easily identifiable?

Next week, on Wednesday, April 30, we are meeting at Hebedas on the corner Rothenburger/Böhmische Straße. Don't come hungry as it's more of a beer place than a food place.

On Wednesday, May 7, we are meeting at Raskolnikoff, an international restaurant and galery with beer garden, on Böhmische Straße 34.

It looks like i will have to work, well actually have a business dinner this week. It is not fixed yet but it looks like i wont make it and i like Raskolnikoff. ohwell

On Wednesday, May 14, we are meeting at Terrasse am Bischofsplatz on Bischofsplatz 2.

As the temperature dropped, it wouldn't be so much fun to sit outside at Citybeach. That's why we should postpone it to another time when it is warmer again. On Wednesday, May 21, let's meet indoors at Little Creatures on Louisenstraße 45.

Meeting starts at 8 people, for those who are wondering (though I wouldn't be against 7 if others think they can do that).

i work til 7 but always tried to show up around 7:30 when i am off. I would be happy to show up at 7 but my boss would not be

Because they had a private function at Little Creatures last week, we actually went to Toscana instead. But as the barkeeper was so nice to put a sign in the door for that everyone could find us, we are meeting at Little Creatures this week, May 28. The nicest tables with sofas are reserved under "English club".

As it's summer time, let's go down to the beach. On Wednesday, June 4, we are meeting at Citybeach on Leipziger Straße 31. See this map. Take tram no. 4 or 9 to "Alter Schlachthof" or just walk along the Elbe bike path.

I can't make it tonight so no citybeach fun for me :-(

Went there and hit the place about 22:00. Walked all through the sand and shit and found no one. Waste of my time.

On Wednesday, June 11, we are meeting at Oosteinde on Prießnitzstraße 18. Just follow Louisenstraße all the way to the end and you'll see the Stadtteilhaus "Äußere Neustadt" straight ahead. On the right side of the house are stairs that lead you down to the beergarden and the pub.

On Wednesday, June 18, we are meeting at Bischof 72, a restaurant on Bischofweg 72 with a nice beergarden in the back.

On Wednesday, June 25, we are meeting at Trotzdem on Alaunstraße 81. Be on time to get a good place in front of the TV to see the German soccer team hopefully win against Turkey.

On Wednesday, July 2, we are meeting at ReiterIn on Görlitzer Straße 20. Maybe you want to eat before as I don't know if they serve food there. But I am sure that they have a nice beergarden in the backyard.
