American divorcing a German, re-marrying American

Can I bring the new American wife to Germany?

I just finished a divorce with my German spouse. This is going to sound crazy but I want to re-marry my previous American wife when I lived in the US! We were both 18 when we got married and got a divorce at 23. Shortly after the divorce I headed to Germany and re-married a German national and obtained German citizenship. Being still friends and on good terms, she came to Germany to visit me every year with my daughter. She even studied in Germany along with my daughter for a few months, so she speaks German rather well. Would I be able to bring my former wife and daughter to Germany if we got remarried? Will this just look really strange to the German immigration officials? If she can’t immigrate here, it looks like I’m headed back to the US.

Sounds to me that your questions boils down to asking if your residency status allows you to bring family members to Germany. The "unusual history" shouldn't matter one bit, unless the immigration officials suspect that your new marriage is not genuine (which sounds rather unlikely).
