I am considering buying an XBox game for my brother in law for his birthday. He is a huge Nascar fan (don't ask why cause I don't get it). As my father will be visiting over Christmas I thought it might be a good gift to get him an XBox Nascar game but I don't know if it is compatible (American game, German system). Will he be able to pop it in and play or will there be compatibility issues? I'm talking about the regular XBox, not the 360 btw.

Hey Frito, sorry to say that Xbox games are region coded just like DVD's and you can't play out of region games without a mod-chip. So if his Xbox is from Europe it won't be able to play a game from the North America.
ah bummer. thanks for the tip though, at least i don't end up looking like a dope when i give him something he can't use.
