European Irish dancing Championships 2007 - Dachau

November 23rd, 24th & 25th

The weekend will see over 500 competitors from dancing schools from all over Europe descending upon Dachau! They will be coming from over 15 different countries to compete. The top class dancers will be battling it out on stage on the Saturday afternoon trying to win a qualifying place for the World Irish dancing championships which will take place in Belfast next March. The opening ceremony on the Friday evening will have performances by dancers from all the different schools and countries. A massive "Ceili Mor" will take place on the Saturday night with lively music provided by the Munich Ceili band and competitions will be held all day Saturday and Sunday for dancers aged 4 to 64 in all levels of dance! Friday November 23rd:

19.00 - Opening ceremony (Irish dance performances by different schools from all over Europe) Tickets 12€ must be booked in advance
- Doors open at 18.30

Saturday November 24th:

8.30 - 13.30 - Competitions for all levels and ages from
13.30 - 19.00 - World Championship qualifiying rounds Entry fee for day 7 €
20.00 - 23.00 - European Ceili night (everyone is welcome to party Irish style!) - Tickets 6€

Sunday November 25th:

09.00 - 17.00 - Competitons for all levels and ages from (Entry fee 7€)

The weekend will see over 600 competitors and their supporters from over 13 countries in Dachau, just outside Munich. Many of Europe’s finest Irish dancers will be competing in order to qualify for the World championships which will be held in Belfast next year. The Opening Gala concert will feature some of Europe’s finest dance schools and dancers. The Ceili night will draw people of all ages to try their hand at Irish group dances to the lively music of the Munich Ceili band! Competitions will take place over the whole weekend.

thought I should give this is bump, since the show is on tonite. Saturday and sunday, you'll have a great occasion to watch Irish dancers from all over Europe competiting for their qualification to the world championships.

Might go along Sunday. What's the entrance price (free hopefully) for children aged 2 & 6?
