Well I never... from 10pm this Saturday, the Partykeller in the newly refurbished Schrannenhalle will be hosting Germany's first official YouPorn party. To the dismay of local dignitaries and politicians, big-screen porn films, sex shows, and strippers are replacing the usually weighty, cultural experience that is a night out at the Schrannenhalle.

Included amongst the mind-boggling highlights:

• Topless Boys and Girls.
• Porn Visuals.
• Flying Cage Show.
• You Porn Hummer Truck.
• Layback mitden YouPorn Girls.
• Porn Styled Staff.

Haha, the organiser is called "Random Events".

According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung the CSU is already against it. Richard Quaas, number one supplicant in Munich's City Council, has reacted to a concerned neighbor's plea and called the YouPorn Party "the bottom-most level of taste" and has requested the organizers to cancel the event, copying in Youth Protection Services and providing the event with media-wide unpaid advertising.

This is bullshit. I don't see anything particularly different here to what happens at the regular Hustler parties at the Schranne. Seems to me that the only difference here is the use of the word 'Porn'.

As far as the Tiefpunkt goes, I suppose it depends on how good the people are who show up. Could get some Höhepunkte out of it.

The manager of the Schranne said in the SZ that the expected numbers have gone form several hundred to a couple of thousand thanks to this.

why is that? everywhere is full of porno anyway.

Actually, I strong believe that it's all a polical issue, about one month ago in an Italian newspaper there was an article about YouPorn which said the porn industry has claimed a loss of about 40% because YouPorn. Then, the author of the paper tried to discover who is the ower of the YouPorn.com website, but thanks to the privacy laws it is protected till he or she doesn't do something against the low.
Probably, the organizers of Erotic Messe and Hustler pressure the council into not allowing this party.

According to YouPorn website, they will soon be blocked in Germany because they don't have an age verification system yet.

As for the Porn Industry losing money to free sites compared to their crap pay sites, they need to get a clue and produce a better product. I haven't seen a good porn movie since forever. There are millions to be made with a damn good movie that happens to include sex!

The Schranne manager is saying now that the party is taking place in the basement, four meters under the subsidized hall itself, and does not fall under the cultural aspect of the Schranne philosophy. Full points for chuzpe, that one.

The man is clever. He reguarly goes to the BA1 where the councillors and grannies get together for a bitch and a moan about the Schranne
but before it can get minuted as such points out that they don't exactly know which of the pubs is causing problems of noise, parking issues or people shagging in shop doorways.

Ok since we now seem to have done slagging the party off (no pun intended) who wants to go?

Was not overjoyed on hearing about this crazy porn party, as my band was booked months before to play in the Schranne stage from 8PM on Saturday. Have had lots of people asking me if our band is part of the porn thing. In a word, "NO". Didn't even realize it was going on until I saw Thursday's article in the SZ. Was going to invite my boss & his girlfriend to the gig, but I'll not be doing so now. Yikes!

So, anyone going to porn party happening to also like old soul tunes, come check us out on the main stage. That way, you can say you came to see my band, 'Definitely Soul'...
...then at some point, pretend you're going to the restrooms, and sneak off to the debauchery downstairs.
We won't tell.

Let's see, Nazis are allowed to demonstrate in Munich but the CSU only gets their panties in a knot over sex between consensual adults. I did think of going down there for a bit of a "mop up" but in the end got out the taxi in the Müllerstrasse instead and went in a local bar for a quick one.

Was in the Halle for the Definately Soul Gig, and there was a massive queue outside . Was so busy, they had to shut down access to whole toilet area for an hour. The Queue ratio looked to be about 20 guys to one Girl, ...so I guess it was bit of a sausage fest down there.

Can't believe no-one has added "fnarr" to this yet.
