New York to Amsterdam via Ljubljana

Hello, an acquaintance needs to fly round trip from NYC to Amsterdam. In between she need to go to Ljubljana for a few days around New Years. Anybody know where to search for cheap airfares for that route? I guess it's too long to take the train from Amsterdam to Slovenia.

I expect the cheapest way would be to buy a return flight from NYC to Amsterdam and another return flight from Amsterdam to Ljubljana. See Whichbudget for ideas there.

Try booking a flight to Lbj with Northwest/KLM and then a layover in AMS, as pretty much any flight from the US to Europe will stop in AMS as it is the main hub, don't know if it would be cheaper though!

Maybe take the train from Amsterdam to Brussels Charleroi airport.Wizzair flight to Ljublijana.Quite cheap i believe although might be more expensive around New Years
