Temporary runaway spots for a mom and toddler - Munich

Where to spend an evening escaping from the house

kumbaya
After some mild arguing and brief speech, the husband arrogantly blurted out "I gotta go" and hung up the phone. Instead of doing the usual housechores and making comforting dinner, I would like to runway for the evening. I am new to Munich and don't speak any German. I have 3yr old who will be home soon. Where can I go to escape from home, with my 3 yr old, say, from 4:30 to 8?

The Westbad has a great children's play area, would be perfect for a 3 year old, and you can chill out in the sauna, its included in the package. Or go to the Deutsche's museum, all the to scale machines, which have buttons to make them work will entrance your child.

You show that nasty old husband. Ha coming home to a cold, dirty house, with no food will stun hum into being a better man. You go!!!

You might try Jogolis Indoor playground behind Ostbahnhof. If you do, I'd be interested in hearing about it. It sounded cool from what I've read of it.
PS: You can even park your kid there and take off on your own for a few hours, if need be.

Maybe she just needs to get away and destress...

I think advertising a woman and child looking for somwhere to go to hide on the internet is a fabulous idea, but it would probably be better if you gave your real name, phone number and address too

Ikea.

There are quite a few interested in this Jogolis place. There were plans for a weekend meet at Lollihop or Jogolis. Need to do something about that as the first week of Nov is already nearly past.

If hams is around you could ask her about soup kitchens.

I hope we can help!

Sticky Fingers English speaking Play Center is open until 6 p.m. on some days, there is an afternoon program suitable for 3-6 year olds hosted in English. We are offering FREE membership until the end of November (normally 50 Euros) and you could purchase a session card which would enable you to drop in to any afternoon program as and when you like!

We would be happy to give you a coffee (or something stronger!) and a friendly ear, so that you can have a good old winge about your husband, whilst your little one is having lots of fun in a wide range of activities hosted by native English speakers as follows:
Monday 4.15-5.15 Kids Boogie - fun movement class
Tuesday 4-5 - English for fun - great language development program
Wed - 5-6 - Creative Dance - dance class
Thurs - 3-5.15 Cookery then Arts & Crafts
Frid - 3-5.15 Music then Science

In addition, our Mum's are very friendly and I am sure could then go for an early dinner with you and your little one after sessions, as we have a great International community. I also have contacts with the Women's Shelter and Family Therapists, if you ever needed to chat and find someone more 'proffessional' to talk to.

You can call me - Lara Kroll - on 089 864 66118 or email me on lara@stickyfingers-munich.com in full confidence.
Don't feel you are alone, there are lots of us Mom's here that often need a place to go to...away from him in doors!

i would definitely recommend Jogoli near Ostbanhof. Easy to go, warm in there, comfy, and really not too loud on weekdays. I always leave the place finding that 3 and 1/2 hours have gone by at lightspeed.
Now, i am a bit too late, i hope you will have found something nice to do and most important that going back home was bearable.

Hope you are fine now...
