Go-karting group outing in Berlin

anyone interested in going go-karting?
if we can get 10 or more people together, we could reserve a track somewhere and start the Toytown Race Circuit.

well, at most places it's around 25€ for half an hour (50€ for an hour).

Some people prefer racing for only half an hour because it can really give the forearms a workout. It is rather expensive, so we usually only race every couple months (maybe 4 times a year).

I'm organizing an event right now for my colleagues. You need around 10 people to reserve the track and about 16 of my colleagues are interested, but some want to drive half an hour, while others want to drive a whole hour, so I'm just gonna reserve the track for 2 half hours. The first half hour consist of 10min qualifying and a 20min race ... then half an hour break ... then a full 30min of racing. My colleagues who only want to race for 30min just won't take part in the last race. We could do something similar depending on the number of people interested.

And the gals on the board shouldn't be afraid to join in! I'm sure my girlfriend will be there. Even in my group of colleagues we have one lady who is retiring at the end of the year that is going to race.

Depends on when but I'd definitely be up for that. I'm not permanently in Berlin but I'm over enough to manage a few times a year!

I'd be interested too - depending on when it is. I love go-carts! (Momma graced me with a lead foot and I have the speeding tickets to prove it!)

I went Go Karting last night with some friends from work. We went to Kartland. The go karts were really fast, gas-powered, and the track was indoors... It was 29 € for about an hour and by the end of the 50-lap race, we were completely tired out. We were also somewhat nauseous from all the fumes. Can't be worse than sniffing glue... I hope. Anyway, I'd recommend it...

how's December 8th for you guys?

if there are no objections, I suggest we try out Kartland (as recommended by Thorin above). If we can get 8-12 people together, the "Top Race 65" costs 34EUR and includes 5 warmup laps, 10 qualifying laps, and a 50 lap race.
(The alternative is: MOBI-Kart . It's a little closer to Prenzlauerberg so it's closer to home for most of us, but it also costs a little more.)

(a lot of companies do this kind of thing for XMas parties, so the tracks are likely pretty booked. if it doesn't work out this time, we'll try again early in the new year.)

so, it seems as thought this isn't going to work out before X-Mas, so I'll post again in the new year. Maybe we can find a date towards the end of January or beginning of February when enough people have time.
