Hey, I’m New to this form and recently moved to Bochum (NRW Germany) as an aupair 2 months ago – a friend suggested I try and meet people through this form.
I don’t know anyone here in Bochum, although I do have friends and family in other towns sorta near by, I get really bored in the week as I have morning and evenings off, but don’t really go out because I don’t know anyone here, nor the town very well.
I’m only 19 years old, and a lot of people on this form seem to be a lot older .
If anyone lives here in Bochum, or near by, and is in my age group, and fancy’s getting in contact, msg back

would be glad to meet anyone speaking english. I am from Bochum but live nearby in Witten atm.
I'm not really your age group being 34, but I have some friends here in Bochum who are and are friendly and like to have a tea or vine sometimes.
Anyway if you are bored, you could just give me a call (02302 2858917). If you like you could visit me and my gf here in Witten near the border of Bochum. We enjoy speaking english at times - so do a couple of other friends in the area.

My wife and I went to Bochum last Sunday morning. There's a new coffee shop opposite Bochum Main Railway station called "Gloria Jean's". Apparently, it's an Australian chain of coffee shops. The staff spoke English and the manager (at least I think he was the manager) was an Australian. Very tasty coffee and they've got cakes as well. (Watch out for the calories, though!) ;-)
I reckon you might be able to meet young English-speaking people in there. Good luck!

TT apparently has around 15 members claiming to live in Bochum.

It's great to find people from the Bochum area here. I've recently moved to Bochum from the UK and would love to meet up with other English speakers and get to know the town and sourounding areas.
