Hello everyone

I'm really new to this site so hopefully am going about posting the right way!

I am planning on moving to live in Luneburg next year, around April, and am seeking employment. I have the advantage of a girlfriend who (very kindly) is going to help me with accommodation, registering with the state etc. I have varying experience in terms of work and my qualifications are reasonable, but not spectacular. My German is coming along nicely as I have been learning for a year now, but am far from being fluent.

I have read people on here talk about becoming an English teacher for business or language schools, is this a sensible route to work? To be honest I will take anything when I first move over, looking to find a more suitable job after 6 months/a year when I have mastered the language.

If anyone has any general advise I would be grateful, I look forwrad to hearing from you and reading your posts!

Cheers

Since you are a UK citizen, try consulting with recruiting agencies and temporary work agencies to see what they have before you think about teaching English, which is widely acknowledged as being poorly remunerated.

Cheers conq, I did have a dig around and realise that some UK recruitment agencies also have a presence in Germany...
