Will it work?

Hi all

Just a quick one, until I can get out to get a Twin LNB, will the Sky+ box work on a single input?

I know that scheduled recordings are done via the 2nd input, but wondered if that means that I just won't be able to schedule things to record until I get the twin LNB, or if the box simply won't function without a 2nd input.

I don't want to mess around re-wiring everything under the TV tonight only to find that it won't work at all...

Cheers smile.gif

It works, but there are limitations - the main one being that you can't watch one programme and record another at the same time

Yep, I am happy for that at the moment, I just wanted to get it up and running as a (semi) normal digibox until I can get the twin LNB at the weekend..

Cheers

You will, of course need to upgrade your account with Sky (or it won't record at all) and have them pair your Sky card to the new system (or you won't be able to receive premium channels). This involves a call to Sky, preferably not from foreign parts...

Cheers

No problem with that, I have an English landline through a PAP2 - I call them all the time and they don't have a clue smile.gif

All working (albeit as a normal digibox). Just need to get sky to enable Sky+ facilities now.

I keep reading that the 10 pounds a month charge was dropped in July this year and on their website sky only refer to charges for Sky HD and Multiroom. Does anyone know if the charge still applies for Sky+ services?

No extra charge for Sky+ features (since July this year)

Superb, cheers... now I am extra happy biggrin.gif:D
