Now that summer cycling days are over, I want to give spinning a try but am at a loss on where to find a regular class. I know TG Bornheim does a course, but I believe it runs on an annual basis, so earliest start would be January and I would like something that starts sooner, if possible. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations they can offer, please? smile.gif My google efforts of "spinning kurs frankfurt" aren't producing promising results..

I don't especially want to have to join the gym, and would prefer a set class where it's not just walk-in numbers. If anyone can help you have my thanks and drink on me.

Did you ask at the TG if you could just join late? I know some of the courses have quarterly registrations they might let you join if spaces free. You'll have to pay whole quarter but is only 10€ for studio members. Other than that I only know of the gyms and nowhere that does it on a spinning only or pay as you go basis...

Oh and when you find one let me know I might be up for joining tongue.gif

This is possibly because "Spinnen" in German means to be "crackers, nuts, potty..." ie to go crazy.

Don't you have to be a Fitness Studio member though?

Well I asked after my step class last night in the TGB about the spinning classes and they are all full no possibility to join now. But I am going to sign up for the one starting in January on Monday evenings if you want to come along? It works out quite well as I go to step class 18:00-19:00 and the spinning starts at 19:15.

There are regular classes at the Deutsche Bank Sportzentrum in Eschborn Sud (about 10 minutes on the S3 or S4 from Hauptbahnhof).

It is not just for DB employees and is now a "proper" e.V.

The public website is : http://sport.konzern.db.com/ (then select "spinning" and then "Frankfurt" in the Sportkurse menu on the left hand side).

The pdf document says that there are courses on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but from next week there are also courses on Monday (2 sets - one is 45 mins, the other is 1h30) and on Wednesday (1h15 and 1h30). Maybe these are only available to people in the know, or they are fully booked - not sure.

There are contact details on the website - just give them a bell and ask them what is available.

The bikes are not great, but all in all it is very reasonable.

ooo Ben great tip thanks biggrin.gif

They offer Skigymnastik too. What on earth is Skigymnastik? That can only be some bizarre German created word to encourage people to do sport!!

I couldn't find information on the e.V. membership fees though - how much is it a year?

Not sure of the price - I signed a einzugsermächtigung (is that direct debit?) ages ago and every now and then they book something to my account. From memory, it is cheap.
