Hi Everyone,
I am new to town, and just got a new pair of bike to travel around... i was wondering if anyone will be interested to meet up sometimes at weekends for
day trips with the bikes?
I am in good shape, but not a professional... and just enjoy riding outside the city...
if anyone is up to it, you are welcome to contact me,
cheers,
Meidan

I am up for a ride this weekend on Sunday.
I know a fair few places to go riding where there are no cars.
How far do you want to ride, and what kind of terrain (off road, hilly, etc)

Hi.
Am debating heading off on my bike tomorrow morning (probably around 8) for a few hours.
Firstly I am thinking of just heading off into the woods south of Munich between
Thalkirchen and
Grünwald as there looked to be some good single track there when I was last out that way. Has anybody got any better suggestions?
Secondly if anybody fancies joining me tomorrow PM me and we can try to meet up. Failing that I am looking forward to riding my bike a lot this year so if anybody is up for evening rides in Bavariam, skiving off work for a day and hitting the alps let me know! It would be good to get a group together.

Well after bad weather that was predicted for today, it was a nice day for biking. I took my bike to the Wolfrathausen area then rode to
Starnberg, following bridleways, forest tracks, and some roads.
After todays ride, I now have a route that goes all the way from Marktschwaben to Herrsching, most of it off road,

Maybe we could do that one day.
If someone wants to organise a ride, then I would be happy to join if I am in town.

I can't be bothered to go to work on Friday so am taking a bridge day. So assuming the weather is good I am going to take my mountain bike out.
Current idea is to take the BOB to Schliersee and ride over to Tegernsee. Probably will set off after nine (so if there is anybody that wants to join we can share a partner tageskarte).
I'm not set on the route so if anybody has any alternative suggestions I'd be happy to hear them.
Anybody fancy joining me?

Is anyone keen on a mountain bike adventure this coming Monday (12th May).
It is a public holiday.
We could meet at the OBF at 9.20am and take the S-Bahn out to Ebersberg, then I have a 60-70 km route, mostly off road (more than 90% off-road) ending up at Wolfrathausen.
The terrain is mostly mild hills, forest tracks and bridleways.
So is anyone interested ?

May 23/24 ...
Who would like to join a mountain bike tour on coming Friday or Saturday (May 22/23), going together by BOB to Tegernsee.
There are nice tours in the South of Tegernsee/Schliersee, fully day, mountain bike & fitness needed, but not difficult?

I could be tempted to take Friday off work.
What time would you set off? What's the weather forecast for the area that day? I would have suggested it myself but looking out of the window at the moment its hardly looking promising!

Would be safer to go on Saturday.
There is a train, main station, leaving around 8:40.

Can't do Saturday - very tempted for Friday though. Even if its just a trip round the
Grünwald forest for a few hours...

Am doing another ride on Sunday the 22nd June, meet outside the Sanfrancisco Coffee Shop at Orleans Platz on the 22nd June at 9.20am.
From there we take the S-bahn to the XXL region and ride 70-80km mostly off road.

Friday is fine for me. Can you propose starting time / location? Weather forecast is better for 2nd half of the day.

OK, if the weather is set to perk up tomorrow - I will take my bike into work and then head out after a few hours. If anyone wants to go further away I'm sure I can still be tempted - just present me with a plan!!!

Hi there I am a student and will soon be moving to Munich. I would like to get back into mountain biking as soon as possible and would like to meet like minded people. I enjoy riding single-track and light downhill. I have ridden some pretty fierce stuff in the past and with the Alps not to far away I think this is a good time to get back into it. Does anyone have any suggestions where to ride or fancy meting up and heading out ether locally or to the alps at weekends as of mid July?
thanks

Welcome to Munich, you're coming to an area that has some of the best singletrail/freeride mountain biking on planet earth.
Drop me a line when you're here.
