I'm new on here, and I'm interested in moving back to Europe from the US (originally from Sweden). I'm currently an MBA student in Boston so I'm in the process of finding an internship for the summer, and I figured a good way to get started with moving back would be to obtain an internship in Germany. My background is working in the financial services industry but within the IT division, and I'm also pursuing an MS in Information Systems along with the MBA so I hope to find something where I can leverage the knowledge of Finance and IT in a meaningful position.
If anybody has any tips on where to get started with such a job search, I would appreciate any advice. I'm a EU citizen so I shouldn't need a visa, but my German is somewhat rusty.

Where to get started:
- what school are you at? (some have un- or semi-official alum clubs here)
- do you want to be in the fin. industry or in finance/IT w/i a company?
- how essential is it that the internship could turn into a job offer?

Thanks for your quick response. I'm at Boston University, which has a relatively small program (160 students/year) so I'm not sure if they have an extensive network as say Harvard but it's a good way to get started.
To me it doesn't matter so much being in the financial industry vs. just those kind of job functions, but I'm more familiar with the financial industry so that may be helpful. Are most of the financial companies concentrated in Frankfurt or spread across the country?
I think it would be pretty essential that the internship could turn into a job offer.
