Same procedure as every year: the 2007 Bayerischer Fundfunk Bavarian Open festival will be on December 1st this year with three stages in the sound studios and 20 bands from the broad spectrum that we've come to expect. And as it is on sound stages, the acoustics are to die for.

Probably the most hotly tipped band to appear would be Subpop's Band of Horses, purveyors of wistful jangle and personally I'm pretty sad that I'm going to miss seeing them this time.
Scout Niblett an English resident of Portland, Oregon, has been often compared to Polly Harvey, probably rightly so so may well be worth a peek.

Representing Canada, Holy Fuck, a lo-fi improvisational instrumental electronica band who have been called "Toronto's evil supergroup" (it sez here) and the charmingly named You say party! We say die! from Vancouver with their dancy punk style.

Finally from the international acts, Scott Matthews (myspace link), a Queensland native living in Brooklyn who composes folky tunes, but some of you may know him better as the soundtrack for animes such as "Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex" and "Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' On Heaven's Door". He also provided many songs for the "Shortbus" soundtrack (Were there songs in that film? Think I only watched the rude bits, oh well).
