Luckily there is no evidence anywhere...

I have none.
I collect the Entla's Keller steins from Erlangen though - they are Pfand ones though.
Don't have a single Maß glass at home at all (some thieved Guiness Eurovision ones though so not perfect).

@pootle - you live long in Munich not to have to get them from the Oktoberfest where people are actually checking. Had visitors from Holland myself so guess i've to admit i have.

Nicking Oktoberfest glasses is a risky business and frowned upon by the organisers and local constabulary.

I had our company do last night and somebody nicked my bloody memory...

3rd trip to the Wies'n last night, 3rd Mass on my kitchen table this morning.

The same procedure as every time!

Though when I stopped in a local for a "swift half" on the way home one of of the buttons on the lederhosen popped. Could have been dodgy...

This year I haven't nicked one, last year I nicked one, which was quite a funny story. I went to the Kultfabrik afterwards, and going there with a Maß glass is not the best thing to do. So I stashed it at Ostbahnhof somewhere behind a pole.
Since I'm never in the area of Ostbahnhof, I didn't care so much about it anymore afterwards, but two and a half weeks later I was in the area on my way home, so I was wondering if it was still there...and believe it or not, it was!!

Up to now I am trying to get a Maß glass from every brewery. The only one I'm missing is Hacker-Pschorr. There's also two Andechs glasses in my collection

l've got 3 now - it always seems a good idea at the time but then the morning after l think why did l even want it. It's not like l drink a mass of beer at home and if l want a glass of water at bedtime then l'm not going to use an enormous mass glass. Maybe there should be a way of returning them anonymously so l could free up some kitchen cupboard space.

They make good gifts. Take the glasses with you when you go back home for Christmas. Give them out to friends and family. They'll love 'em, even more so if they're the 'genuine article' - personally stolen from a tent with traces of beer still attached (as opposed to those fakes that you buy in the tourist office).

When Jimbo and I went last week, we woke up the next morning to find two on the kitchen table. You know how it is, you are drinking, you are being thrown out the tent cos its closing, you walk out chatting and drinking (not even thinking about the fact you have a glass in your hand), then wander through the fest, continuing to drink and chat as you walk and stop and chat to Eddie Murphy and Julia Roberts (they were almost real, honest ask DrivinWest!). Then you find you have walked out of the fest and down the street with your glasses still in your hand, and no attempt made to hide them from anyone.

foxy, you forgot to add the words "...honest officer" to that sad and well worn excuse used to describe your theft.
