Problems with O2 Internet-to-Go

Undisclosed billing?

Hey all,

I just got an Internet-Pack-L data plan from o2. I used it for a couple of days with the internet APN (as suggested in the two web-sites below):

http://www.o2online.de/nw/assets/tabellen/...pt-artikel.html

http://o2online.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/o2onl...amp;p_topview=1

However, to be on the safe side I decided to go to my local shop and ask if I should use the internet or the surfo2 APN, and to my utter surprise I was told that I should use the surfo2 otherwise I would be billed additionally. Now, as far as my understanding of German goes the above two links say that I should be able to use both APNs without getting billed additionaly outside my data plan (as long as I stay within the 5000 MB limit). I face a bill of about 900 EUR if this is legal and I cannot contest the charge somehow (that's about 100 MB of traffic).

Please any ideas, I don't really want to spend all my vacation money on something silly as this.

Thanks,

Stefan

According to those two links, you have done nothing wrong. I suspect the guy in the shop is actually the one in the wrong, and if they do charge you extra show them the pages you just posted here. You shouldn't have to pay them anything.

The thing is that I also e-mailed them directly from their website and got the same answer, but then again you might be right and the guy answering e-mails could be wrong as well. I really hope so smile.gif

Email them again and point out those two pages you posted above.

I just did. I was quite upset at the moment so the e-mail was quite hard worded, hope that does not play me any bad tricks. I probably will get an answer sometime tomorrow.

If they really are doing this on purpose it is quite outrageous. However, I do liket to believe it's just a misunderstanding/miscommunication between me and them. Still it's not making a good impression.
