Hi TT'ers

First of all let me thank you guys for this great site/resource! It's been great help for people like myself - making the decision to move and live in the land of lebkuchen. Every question i had in mind about Germany was answered by that search bar! Freaky...I still have a few questions though..but will post that in the proper forum.

I'm new to TT and I'm moving to Germany around mid November. I'll be calling Munich my home for the next year or two (if I survive the culture shock and exorbitant income tax).

Looking forward to meeting y'all! smile.gif

PS. If anyone's desperate for tim tams or berocca let me know and I maybe able to fit a few in my suitcase!

Compared to Australia, the total deductions are not much more when you bundle in the cost of private health insurance and superannuation into the tax rate in Australia.. I wouldn't worry so much about that..

Good luck on the move..

Welcome to the forum, the wrong boy, and thank you for your kind words. But I am confused: Are you moving to Munich (beer-town) or Nuremberg (lebkuchen-town)? See you soon!

Good luck and if you´re in Munich, make sure you come out to TT drinks and we can rustle up some more Aussies if you feel shy. Berocca sounds tempting but I am off home for a visit soon, so will make do till then smile.gif

... I though Munich is "Weisswurscht"-town or "Leberkäs"-Town ... wink.gif
Anyway - welcome to bavaria.

Yeah the Nurembergers might come after youif you snag their lebkuchen in favour of Munich!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Sorry for the confusion. I'll be based in Munich during the week and in Nuremberg on most weekends (visiting the gf)...hence the reference to Lebkuchen smile.gif

I must say I did have an encounter with the best tasting lebkuchen in a market somewhere in Nuremberg
