Hi,

I've just moved top Northeim (near Goettingen) and I need to find an English speaking OB-GYN to get a birth control pill prescription. As I'm new here, I really don't have anyone I could ask to recommend a doctor. I know most doctors speak English, so I'm more worried about making an appointment since my German is really almost non-existent. Does anyone know of a doctor in Northeim area whose staff understands English? Do I need to tell why I want to see the doctor when I make the appointment? If I end up having to pick a name from the telephone book, are all frauartzen just regular OB-GYNs? At the doctor is the procedure the same as in the US (the nurse takes your weight, blood pressure etc, asks if you have any specific concerns and then leaves you to undress, put on the gown and get seated on the exam table with a sheet on your lap to wait for the doctor)? Sorry for all the questions, but I hate going to the OB-GYN even when I know how everything works sad.gif I'd be happy to get any info on how things work.
