Can anybody recommend a particular photgrapher or studio to take straightforward portraits for my Bewerbung (job applications). Something more than a passport photo is desired and if they have a website, what is it?
I would prefer someone half decent to get a good result, but like everyone else out there, I'm not able to pay stupid money.
Thanks

Hi!
I just got my Bewerbungsfotos taken last time I was in Munich, about 10 days ago. I went to this
portrait place in PEP (u-bahn stop neuperlach zentrum) and they came out nice. I dunno the going rate so I cant say if they were expensive or not, but it is a little less than 10€ for four pics. I got 8 pics and it was €18.

Anke Hahn, Hohenzollernstr. 86, Schwabing, Tel 300 63 70 is where I always go for my passport and work pictures.

Another vote from me for Anke. She'll let you pick your background as well (I hate those blue skies ones - good for babies, not good for career ladies).

Can anyone recommend a photographer who can take a passport photo of a baby (for my child's first UK passport)?

Why not find one of the many photo kiosks located around?
They will only set up back 5-6 Eur, and you can usually take up to 4 pictures (for testing) before you actually hit the print button.

Now that somebody merged topics...
If your looking for US Passport Pix, Then take 5 Eur with you to the Embassy and use the "US Passport authroized" photo machine there.

Warning: they do not print photos with white backgrounds as required by British passport applications (like what I just found out to my cost).

Sure they do.
Dunno which you've been going to

Sounds like you had bad luck.

Really? I got a grey bg on mine

Then went to another place later on when I'd checked my suspicion that they had to be white, but it only took the exact money. And the seat was broken. And I still didn't think I could get a white background anyway, so I gave up.
So, UA, sweetest, loveliest woman of TT

, where can I get photos with a white background, or what knobs do I have to twiddle, please?

I got mine done at
Muenchner Freiheit on the mezzanine level. If you go down the steps from the HypoVereinsbank they's on your right opposite the Apotheke

I found out that a light grey background is okay. I just hope they don't mind my face taking up 100% of the photo.

According to the uk passport office the photo should be of your head and shoulders.
Passport Though why they want a photo of a bottle of shampoo I don't know

How do I know that those booths at Hauptbanhof take pictures with size 5 cm x 5 cm? Or someone knows if those pics taken at those booths are useful for US Visa application?
where else is it possible to take 5 cm x 5 cm photos at reasonable prices?
Thanks for the info!!
