Nice. Real nice. I would never have thought for a moment it was directed at me had you not instantly stated IM NOT DIRECTING THAT COMMENT AT YOU JOHNNY.
So clearly it was directed at me.
aarhg.;no Johnny it really wasn't! I specifically made sure to tell you that it wasn't directed at you because I know you are losing weight now and I didn't want you to think I was being cheeky!
Because you made the comment about Nigella's hips and because you know that I know that you're on a diet, I was worried you would think I meant you.
Ah sod it! It's so hard communicating when you can't see the person's face or predict how they will perceive what you said.
I really didn't mean you.
We're all proud of you on the diet thread and I would never take this piss out of someone losing weight as I have been there, done that.
edit: don't get anorexic or I will have to come to Munich and force some of this excess pumpkin (or punkin) soup down your throat. I can never make just enough for one person.

Sorry, DH, she looks like she's wearing a witches mask, all pointy chin, weird eyes and prognathic jaw. Plus a voice that sounds like Fran Drescher strangling a Valley Girl with Dubyas Christmas pantyhose. No match for the classic features, bodacious curves and dulcet tones of Nigella, IMO. But 'tis all a matter of taste at the end of the day.

Being a straight woman, every time I watch Nigella on telly I'm convinced she could turn me lesbian, She is so hot and sultry, sexy body, beautiful face, sensuous voice, wit and she can also prepare a mean pud... What more do you need???

If I was a man, I'd probably think Nigella was quite attractive, although she's recently developed a very strange shape (around the tummy & bum area).
Anyway, I'm not a man and here are just some observations:
Nigella is being portrayed as a 'pig' who doesn't do anything else day and night than eat (->last scene after credits). And she keeps saying 'I'm so lazy to peel an onion, I'm so lazy to do this and that'. She is really making a caricature out of herself.
Also, I feel I get indigestion watching the programme - it's cut so fast and sometimes the camera is 'wobbly' and 2 seconds after people are shown literally stuffing their faces with the main cours they are devouring a desert. Makes you feel ill.
Anyone else think that?

The
new book is marvellous.
Lovely, lovely, lovely. The chatty writing style is like her other books, it is like she's reading to you out loud. Plus there are pages and pages of things that not only look delicious but also doable (mind you, I don't find her recipes difficult at all, if I'm honest).

Nigella on weight.QUOTE
Or is she just offensively fat? Because there are women out there who are far from satisfied with Nigella’s size. On the BBC website, members of the public have been expressing horror at her perceived weight gain during the filming of the current, gloriously gluttonous television series, Nigella Express. Comments have ranged from “She’s a porker to “What sort of an example is she setting with her weight and her appetite for high-calorie sweets and cream?. Nigella is, in short, being targeted for the thing that makes her so desirable – her womanliness.

OFFS,
Offensively fat is some appalling, approximately oval, blue legged slag in a mini skirt in Tesco's shouting at her brats to "fooking ged 'ere."

I don't know why they are having a go at her. She has big bits in all the right places. I mean many women who are thin have only fried eggs on their chests nowadays. don't they call it a Rbenesque look?
Wonderful fantasy, to be up in the night and bump into Nigella who steals iff to the kitchen and makes something tasty for you.
I'd give her a lick of my ice cream any day.
I am into healthy eating but my sinful indulgence is a bloody big Nußschnecke. Especially with a strong caffeine laden coffee. Heaven.

Yes, Nigella might carry a bit more weight than necessary, but who cares. Woman should cherish the fact that finally someone is on TV who doesn't go on about diets and how not to eat etc.

Most likely he doesnt even really know who she is. Do you get BBC telly Osmachar?
Look forward to that interview. I have no problem with her going commando. In fact those nickers of hers might be a bit big hanging on the line.
Thing is if you have a fat wife I reckon you have simply more woman than a man with a thin one.

Fist of all, I am a she not a he.
Secondly, yes, I know who Nigella is - watch her every Monday.
Thirdly, most woman above size 10 possess a pair of slimming pants (if they wear it is a different matter) and I don't think Nigella is any different. If you watch the current series, she sometimes looks as if she has a bit of an odd shape, which is either natural (not very likey) or put in place by slimming pans/corsett or whatever.
Forth, I had no intention of being mean.

Last night I used my Nigella Express book to rustle up
mirin-glazed salmon. It truly is spectacularly easy, incredibly quick and very tasty, plus has provided today's lunch too. Dividing the recipe down to serve two (or one for dinner and one for lunch) is easily done as the recipe suits those frozen salmon filets that you can get from Plus, as they are exactly the right weight and cut.
The few ingredients are available from my local Asian store to boot and the bottles won't go off quick.
A huge thumbs up from me, went great with some simple stir-fried pak choi and plain rice.
