I want to buy my "own" phone that is not locked to any contract or network. I only like Nokia as I like the way they work and won´t have to get to grips with a new phone system- I know this may be narrowminded, but I have had Nokias (about 4 of them I guess) since 1997/8 with only one deviation to an LG.
Will I get the best deal in a particular store or online? (I haven´t decided on a model yet). Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

What is your budget? And do you prefer a particular type, like clamshell? Normally the best deals are from online stores.

6300 is a nice sleek model, but does not have 3G support. The deal in the TT ad is good if it comes with 2 year guarentee.

My budget? Hmm, haven´t thought about it much, but as its for personal use, I can´t afford to access the internet etc (at least through my current, soon to be discontinued (in 6 months) provider Vodafone, its really really expensive. (My current Nokia 6280 is almost dead due to be dropped and broken badly).
Is 3G support for the internet?

3G support is for faster internet connection and some additional features like Video Call which no one use

In the 200-225 EUR price range, there are some new models.
Nokia 6267, Clamshell modelNokia 6120 ClassicBoth the above models have good reviews from Connect magazine.
Nokia 6555 claims to have a unique clamshell design and is priced competitively(190-210 EUR range).

Also, having looked at what a "clamshell" is- no I don´t like the flip phones. But I have a better idea of what I do want now and will look online. Thanks!

Speak for yourself.
The Nokia E90 is the ONLY phone to be in posession of.
Anything else is just the kind of crap up with which I will not put.

I love my E65 but since it uses Symbian it is a bit different from the "old" Nokias. I got mine with a contract through
http://www.handys-mobile.de/ but you can also get it without a contract there. At least the price for this phone with a contract was great!

Unfortunately, the E51 is rather bare on the multimedia front with a 2-megapixel camera and FM radio.

Renia, my boyfriend bought me Nokia 6085 for my birthday at Schillerstrasse 14,right near
Hauptbahnhof. He doesn't want to tell me how much he paid

but he says it was the best shop with mobile phones. That's my fifth Nokia, I quess, and I am really satisfied with it and can recommend it to you.The battery is REALLY good, keeps power for about 11days.
Looks like this but mine is black

@garibaldi
Not sure. The 2 MPix camera is very basic. But on the audio/video front, it has a MP3 music player, supports video streaming and playback with different formats.
