Hi
I was born to a German mother and American father after WWII. We moved to the States in 1960 and I joined the American Air Force in 1970.
In order to join I had to become a naturalized American, thereby giving up my German dual citizenship.
I was recently turned down to get my German citizenship back, but have in the meantime (while on vacation) met a nice German lady and we would like to get married.
Does anyone know how difficult it would be for a naturalized American/former German to get a Visa and permission to marry in Germany?
Danke!

It doesn't appear difficult at all. You are an American wanting to marry a German citizen.
The process is the same for you, as it is for every other foreigner that desires to marry, live and work in Germany.

It's just a matter of filling out all the paperwork- but your visa should be processed just like any other American applying for residency here.

Given the paperwork hassle with getting married in Germany, you may find it easier to opt for a wedding in Denmark.

Especially in case you've been married before and got divorced outside of Germany...
