Since I obviously don't have a lot of time to uhh.. explore the nightlife here, I'm open to suggestions on when/where to meet. Maybe instead of naming a specific pub, we should just meet in some general meeting area, as opposed to outside a closed pub in a dark alley. ... What do you guys think?

So! I've finally got a slave labour work-free weekend. Is anyone up for meeting up for a couple drinks? (Or more than a couple, if the last beer drinking meetup was any indication...)

Listen when Mrs N and i were last in Cologne we sat in the square on a warm sunny day drinking this stuff from those tiny glasses. we had not eaten and when I settled the bill we had had 16 between us. So no I will not be drinking in Cologne again. The number of people that trod on our fingers on the way back to the hotel ...

Well, seeing as it's almost the weekend, and nothing is decided yet, I suppose I've got to step up and decide something.
20:00 seems to have been popular in the past, so let's choose that time. I'm a little torn on the meetup place though. I'm going for either in front of the Metropolis cinema in Ebertplatz (since it would probably be easiest for the three of us to get to, and it doesn't look like anyone is too interested. If they are, they can cater to our convenience for not planning ahead. ) or somewhere in and around Friesenplatz. You guys can decide.

Kinda new to the forum but haven't yet had time when you guys all meet up (most weekends are kinda busy :-S) As well as the friesenstrasse there are also lots of bars in the zülpicher str if a pub crawl is wanted ;-))
Good idea, for simplicity's sake let's meet in front of the Metropolis theater...let's say 8:30. If we get lazy and need instant choices, Friesenplatz is a few short stops away...
