Concert: D. Wolff @ Johanneskirche Haidhausen

Dear friends of the guitar,

following the great success of the concerts of Friedemann Wuttke and Alvaro Henrique every guitar enthusiast can be looking forward to yet another fantastic event.
The Brazilian guitarist Daniel Wolff (www.danielwolff.com) will be performing two concerts at the weekend of the 23.-25. November 2007.
Daniel is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and is a professor of guitar at the Federal University of Porto Alegre.
He will be presenting a recital of Brazilian music for guitar which shouldn't be missed as the guitar is regarded as the most popular instrument in Brazil and composers like Villa-Lobos, Dilermando Reis and Garoto speak for themselves.

Daniel Wolff gained a high international reputation as a musician. He has worked extesively as a soloist(performing all major guitar concertos) and as a chamber musician, e.g. with the Berlin guitarist Daniel Göritz. He is even regarded as a leading composer and arranger. The American guitarist Sharon Isbin performed some of his arrangements on her CDs 'Journey to the Amazon' and Dreams of a World' which later won Grammy awards.

Daniel Wolff will be paying on the 23rd November 2007 at the concert hall of the St. Johanneskirche at Preysingplatz, Munich and on the 24th November 2007 at the Otto-Hellmeier-Haus in Raisting. Both concerts start at 8pm, the admission is € 12/8(concession).

There is also the opportunity of a masterclass/workshop with Daniel Wolff on the 25th November from appr. 10.00am in Haidhausen, Munich for players of all standards. The fee for active participation in the workshop is € 35 and includes a 45min teaching session with Daniel and free entrance to one of the concerts. To take part passively (as a visitor) in the masterclass the fee will be € 25 and includes free admission to one of the concerts as well.
