Updating a Paypal account from UK to Germany

I have a paypal account in UK and want to update it with my address in Germany. It seems impossible, the "country" field" can not be changed in the profile.
Does anyone know how to do it?

You need to close your UK and reopen one in German, then you can change it to English on the site.

You should call them, i can't remember the number for them but if you google "paypal contact number uk" you will find it, they were really helpfull and they even changed my language on my account so that even when i log onto my german account i have it in english.

There's no need to close the UK one in order to open the German one. Since you can only link one bank account anyway, then keep both - one linked to your UK account and one linked to your German account. When I was in Germany, I used Paypal to do small transfers to my account in the US. It was cheaper for small amounts than bank transfers. Of course, this may not be necessary where fees are small or non-existent for transfers between two EU accounts, but it could still be handy to have a UK Paypal account, especially if you think you might ever move back there.
