Hello,
I want to send a DVD player to somebody within Germany. DHL/Post charges 3.90 euros - which is quite expensive.
Could you please suggest the cheapest ways to send? (by registered post and also by unregistered post).
Thanks,
Uncle Nick

Just dont send it with DPD, they will destroy it in transit and deny responsibility. 3.90 is very cheap.

If you send it with
Hermes, it will also cost €3.90 but include insurance up to €500.
Given that
Deutsche Post charge €4 to send a piece of paper to the US, I also find €3.90 to post something of that size and weight to be extremely good value.

Thank you all for your replies!.
yes, it is a small DVD player. I wanted to put it inside the yellowbox that you can buy in the post office and send it.
They charge 3.90 euros for the shipment!. Judging by your responses, this seems to be the cheapest way to send a parcel??.
I am not that worried about insurance (careful packaging will protect the item... so I think).

I'm not sure how much pigeons cost, but a strong pigeon may cost less than €3.90. You'd have to spend time training it though.
Walking is the other option I thought of, but the wear and tear on your shoes will come to more than €3.90.
Anyone else got any ideas on how we can save Daaden fifty cents?
PS. Yes, careful packaging will protect the item from physical damage, but not from the inability of DP to successfully deliver post.
