Dog day care in Düsseldorf and Hilden

Tips on people and places that offer this

I have taken the step and decided to get another dog, but of course I don't want to leave the wee thing at home all day alone, so i am looking for a good (reasonably priced!!) place to look after him or her during the work week. I live in Hilden and work in Wersten, so anywhere around that area would be perfect. Does anybody know of a place or a person that does this?? Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

have you considered an animal shelter? They often offer this type of service?

Is it a purebred? If so, which breed?

I ask only because there are breeders in the area who will offer dogsitting services for dogs of the same breed (or similar) that they breed. Or contact the various dog training clubs for more info. And vet clinics, of course.

If you opt for a petsitter/dogwalker, make sure that your dog gets individual walks (or doesn't mind walking in a group) and actually gets walked for the time period agreed upon. One dogwalker used to pick up a dozen dogs, go to a local park, tie them to the fence, then sit and smoke with his buds for an hour, then take the dogs home and charge the unsuspecting owners for a 90 minute dog walk (in fact, the dogs got about 20 minutes total walking time).

Whatever you find, get references and check them over thoroughly.
