House and apartment rental in Leipzig

Hi guys

We're quite close to a move to Leipzig or Lausanne in Switzerland...although I think Liepzig is winning

Anyway we're looking for a place to rent in Leipzig between 16th Nov to 13th Dec. A house would be great although a large flat might also do fine. Perhaps there is a good website for short term rental?

Also would be good to meet any expats out there in Leipzig...to get a good feel for life there. We already know a large French contingent out in Leipzig but being English myself (my girlfriend French) it would be interesting to meet others from the UK.

You can try Immobilien Scout 24 to find a place. Good luck with the move and more importantly good luck to English rugby team tomorrow. As I'm sure you well know there's nothing better than stuffing the French.

What a night...amazing victory. I was in a small 'Irish' pub next to Strasbourg cathedral...outnumbered 100 to 1 by communist french...however the atmosphere was excellent. I still find it difficult to believe we made it to the final...even more so that I managed to get home without falling off my bike.

Yep, sure was. I'm not really a Rugby fan but that was top entertainment.

Yep, a holiday apartment will porbably be your best bet. Most of the normal property to rent will be unfurnished. I'll keep an eye out in the local paper if I see anything of interest.

Cook your wife a nice rosbif dinner to cheer her up.

You could try wg-gesucht.de for short term lets although it focuses more on sharing aparments. But sometimes you'll get lucky.

Just nursing post rugby, guiness induced hangover...depressed but proud for the lads!

If any of you guys ever meet up in Leipzig during November/December give me a shout. Would appreciate discussing life there.
