Road traffic information in and around Munich

Given the terrible situation on the Autobahns and streets in and around Munich, with Mittlererring tunnelling, and Allianz Stadium road-rebuillding, combined with Oktoberfest visitors, then bayerninfo.de/verkehr is a very useful site (in English!) for uptodate traffic reports in the area. It's updated evey 60 seconds...

it's really good, you use a magnifying glass to focus on where you're going, and it shows the up-to-date situation

What about something for the current condition of the S-Bahn lines? To know whether or not they are going on time.

Things like this would be perfect for posting by text message. Peeps on the spot could post from a car / train. I wonder is that feature still active *goes off to look*

Here are some usefull links, half are in German, but the first is the MVV site you were looking for in 5 different languages. If you really think about it, you're quite fortunate to have a public transportation system. Where I come from we don't, so if your car dies on you...you're up shit creek without a paddle. Munich is also one of the most bike-friendly cities you can find. Invest in a bike, I did and I get around a lot faster than car or taxi.
