I was disappointed to not make it to more days than I did and just caught the tail end, but I'm totally gutted its over! Or i am still hungover and got that hangover guilts feeling.
Anyone else quite sad about it all? This is worse than the day after Boxing Day I reckon.

Dude, its just beer, bad music and overcrowded with foreigners. TT is still here though to fill the holes. We got it all except for the bad music.

@eurovol: you obviously haven't heard Jason and I singing a duet at karakoe!

Yes I have. I was being nice.

PS: I noticed the edit on the "foreigners" part.

I'm totally glad it's over. The human body just isn't designed to live off beer, chicken and rollercoasters for two weeks

I am glad that the Wies'n is over, actually. Seven times in 14 days was a bit much for me this year.

I find it quite refreshing to be able to cycle to the station of a morning without having to steer past piles of puke from the previous evening.
Still, the fest brings plenty of money into the city's coffers, so that's fine by me.
Wouldn't say I'm not glad it's over, though.
Am I sad that the Oktoberfest is over - partially yes, partially no.
I'm sad that I won't have the opportunity to banter with random, smiling i.e. drunken, international and sometimes good looking strangers.
Not sad to give my liver the opportunity to recover, and as Topsy mentioned, having to avoid the piles of vomit on my way to work. Also, I'm sick of wearing a
dirndl - it was cold!
However, lessons I've learnt at this Oktoberfest: next time I'll be clever and buy tights (pantyhose for you N. Americans) instead of pop socks mistakenly; and instead of making plans for a vague rendezvous, will exchange actual phone numbers.

@hams: don't try making a phone call when you're in the tent though because you can't hear a bloody thing!
Well, I was hoping it would be an intertesting Wies'n but actually it was completely uneventful, more's the pity.

Never thought I'd be one to succumb to a 'missed connection'.
Uncle Nick - I find sms works so much better.

First Wies'n for me and it was a blast.
Went there, I think, 10 times. Drank approx 50-60 liters of beer.
A lot of bloody hot chicks though. Love them Italian women. Though the men can go jump off a cliff.

Fükking honest to godness nightmares that I had not paid for the vouchers or not forwarded them or not sent out the invitations. Last night was the first good sleep in weeks, including after the office do where I let my hair down after the bosses had left. Really, I am glad it's over but gutted that I will not have the Wildmoser experience until next year.

I miss the Oktoberfest too, particularly at lunchtimes. Needed a quick mass or two today and popped along anyway just in case, but they seem to have sold out of beer or summat. Sigh.

Things I hate about the Wiesn:
- The way the U-bahn station is never where you think you left it. (And what's the Riesenrad doing over
there?)
- Standing outside a side-entrance to a tent for an hour waiting to get in.
- Being charming and/or cool to a security guard for an hour (see above), until he decides you can come in. By the time I get inside I'm all out of cool and charm.

I will not miss it, as as every year, I did not go once. I went once for 2 hours over three years ago and that was enough to see it is not my thang... Good bye and Good riddance I say...
Stanford the kill joy.
Oh and those dindril whatever they called are just as crappy not my thang either - here is one guy who is more about booty...

For those who've heard it, you know what I'm talking about!!!
He should get a night onstage in the Hacker tent next year, singing highlights of his set. Because it's Top 5 Funniest Things I've Ever Seen. The world really needs to experience it.

The Wies'n is great but it's a relief to get back to some form of normality.

I've just had a walk through the Oktoberfest site, grim and depressing. Thought I saw lots of other souvenir hunters but they might have been security. Sadly no loot lying around

Never mind. Less than 48 weeks to go.
That's the spirit!
