How to convert MIDI files to MP3

So, i have some midi files that i want to listen to on mp3 player...

i have WavePad, and CD wave editor.

i can record them as .wav files then convert to mp3 then load them on my player...

is there an easier way, like presto change-o- convertus midius or something like that?

Try Audacity for general editing/converting audio, pretty nifty for free software. For direct conversion, Direct MIDI to Mp3 seems to do the trick.
