Just got back from the concert. It was good, but a bit short. They only played for 3 1/4 hours. biggrin.gif

I swear I sat next to Dieter from Sprockets. And it was always the time to dance. Too funny...

I did NOT touch his monkey, however.

I thought it was my trousers but that deep hum I'm getting must be the smell of regret...
Does Robert Smith still look like Mama Cass in a bin bag?

I was there too last night. My legs are aching from dancing for so long.
Totally great evening...my haven't his fans aged!!!
MoiLV
I was so excited that they played 10:15 on a Saturday Night.. SUCH an amazing show.. they played everything I wanted to hear.. wondering where to see them next..

Edit1: YES! They're playing in San Jose when I'm in San Francisco. Fantastic.

Edit2: ok, I'm obsessing a bit but this is interesting: 10:15 on a Saturday Night

The track was written by Robert Smith at the age of 16 one evening while sitting at the kitchen table feeling "utterly morose" watching the tap dripping and drinking his dad's home made beer. It was first performed as part of the Easy Cure set around the bands local area of Croydon.

16!

Was surprised and happy that they played "Killing an Arab", did wonder if they'd played it in Berlin ph34r.gif
And they did as the last song and probably got a police escort out of there.

Lovely to see a Munich crowd actually moving and having fun. People were even smiling. Shocker.
MoiLV
Surprised because it's old or because it's not PC? Not to sound pedantic, you might already know this, but the song's based on a scene from the book The Stranger (L’Étranger) by Albert Camus . Killing an Arab on wiki.

It was fantastic. Robert Smith sounds great. From the first note until the very end. That guy has more talent in his little pinky than most musicians out there today (I'm think of the total crap that they play on German radio).
They sounded great and (from where I was standing dancing, they looked good. They don't move around all that much but then you can't really play guitar like that and be jumping around like Madonna, can you?

They didn't play the Butterfly song. sad.gif
Katrina
Yeah I know MoiLV, but not everyone knows that. Was strange for me to be moshing with my boss though ha ha
MoiLV
What's the Butterfly song? The caterpillar song you mean?
kitkat64
That's the one, I just couldn't think that early in the morning after a late night smile.gif but so worth it.
MoiLV
Yes, being at work today truly sucks.

Lost count of how many times I have seen Bob and the boys. That was 23rd or 24th time, or something like that. Great Set List. Some stuff I have never heard live before. As good a show as can be expected in Munich as well. Not much new in there considering the album is supposed to be out this Spring. Have to consider a trip to Zürich tomorrow now to catch the next show...
