Hiya
a new memorial commemorating the Munich air disaster on 6th February 1958 involving the Manchester United "Busby Babes" will be unveiled today at 11:30am at the accident site in Kirchtrudering. 21 people died in the crash including 8 members of the Manchester United team.

Bürgermeisterin Gertraud Burkert (SPD) will be doing the unveiling and the following are expected to attend: Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Charton (who survived the crash), Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, FC Bayern boss Karl Hopfner and Karl Auer (TSV 1860 president).

As to the timing of this unveiling, well, you can make your mind up about that one (no comments from me about any alleged alcohol problem alleged to *any* of those listed above particularly seeing as the unveiling is smack bang in the middle of the Oktoberfest).
