Looking to make friends in Düsseldorf

Hi!

I've just moved to Düsseldorf on a short term contract, and would love to get to know some of the ex-pat community on a social basis.

I'm originally from Munich (5yrs) and before that from London. Work in the marketing/communications field for the technology sector.

At the moment I'm searching for a room or studio flat ... if anyone knows of one going, that would be a great help :-)

Currently looking somewhere in the centre / Altstadt / Friedrickstadt area. Will consider Oberkassel as a last resort. Have already seen two and wasn't impressed really.
