I just thought it would be great if we also could add a member's real name close to their TT-nicknames in 'My friends' section.

What's a "real name"?

I think people would only be happy with a feature such as this if no one else could see the "real name"

Can you make notes about people?

Renia, that's exactly what I mean. Is it possible to make a note near a particular TT user in a 'My friends' section?

Hardly makes much difference if you use your real name as your login anyway...

Yeah but who would do that?

absolutely silly that would be.

I'd agree to this so long as avatars have to be real ass-pics of the person in question.
But... Sin Innuendo IS my real name.
Why, oh! Why does nobody believe me?

But then some users might put pictures of their faces and we won't be able to tell the difference.

And if you have your real name and a real picture, must be crazy...

Actually I am French and my real name is Oscar, but you can't be too careful on this interwebby jobbie. Or as we say back home where I come from "Le interwebby jobbie".

So that more stalkers and weirdos can send obscene private messages to those who post real names and pictures?

Or Aardvark - a "nice" name...
As they say, Aardvark never did anybody any harm...

I just wanted to remind you guys the original idea:
[/quote]
with a feature such as this if no one else could see the "real name". If you have, say 50 TT friends with whom you exchange messages almost every day, and you want to remind someone about something, wouldn't it be easier (or probably safer)if you were sure who you are writing to? Was it Mr XYZ or YXZ, or maybe ZXY?

I don't see the advantage. I know the names (real & online) of all the people I regularly exchange PMs with so the problem doesn't arise. If you are paranoid about sending a message to the wrong person then simply keep a list in a text file with the various names or if you're really posh, Excel. Plus, if you do find yourself having 50 or so people on TT with whom you exchange PMs on a daily basis, you might want to reconsider your priorities.
