Animal Learn is sponsoring the Sixth International Dog Symposium in Aschau im Chiemgau (not too far from Munich). It runs from November 16-18. I contacted the organizers, and got back the great news that "All the English presentations will be translated in German and all the German ones will be translated in the English language." <quote from email>
So... it looks like I might attend and was wondering if anyone else would be interested in going, too? The line-up of speakers is pretty awesome:
Fri Nov 16:
Patricia McConnell Ph.D. in Zoology, Adjunct Associate Professor Wisconsin
Dr. Vera Neun - vet specializing in eye problems
Sat Nov 17:
Anders Hallgren - degree in psychology from University of Stockholm,
dám Miklósi, Ph.D. associate professor Ethology Budapest
Turid Rugaas - Dog behaviour expert, author of "On Talking Terms With Dogs: Calming Signals"
Anke Domberg, dog vet and therapist
Sun Nov 18
Anders Hallgren
Anke Domberg
Elisabeth Berger - animal communication
Cost is 210 euro for the whole weekend, with optional dinners on Fri and Sat at an additional cost of 19.70/dinner evening. I think I'll end up just commuting as opposed to staying somewhere in the area. So anyone interested?
(Sorry Mere... I know you want to but just can't make this one)
