Does anyone know if Brazilian bikini waxes are legal here? Apparently, they aren't in all countries. My partner has never heard of this.

What country regulates shaving your pubic hair? The law here in Germany is concerned with much more important things like stopping bicyclists at 1:00p.m. for having a chipped reflector.
woof.

If there's an opening for a pubic hair inspector, I'm very interested in the position.
Frankly I'm tired of checking chipped reflectors, and the hours suck.

It has nothing to do with legality, it is whether or not they will do it for you. I prefer the Hollywood style myself... when my friend gets here she knows somewhere that will wax you. I just wish I could find someone that does sugaring

Scorpio, if my info's right, a lot of turkish salons offer sugaring.

Tis like waxing only with apparently more natural ingredients and so allegedly better. They use a mix of sugar, water and lemon juice.
After you take it off you can reuse the paste to bake Hairy Cakes. They're like fairy cakes only different.

Brazilian waxes are illegal to do in salons in some States in the US, because apparently there are stiffer regulations about cosmetologists doing any procedure that involves a "mucous membrane".
But I have no idea if they are legal or not in Germany.

Leeza, Bumpy, it's already been said...YOU CAN GET IT DONE HERE!
Not here on the website obviously, but here in Germany. As mentioned Feelgood Salon in Munich will do you up real good for €18-€23. How do I know this, it's on the website which takes about 5 seconds to locate.
So, Jessie, just go to your nearest beatuy salon in Faffy on der whatever and ask them about it.

Sugaring paste can be prepared with common household food items, such as sugar, lemon juice, honey or molasses. Getting the consistency correct takes some practice for most users. The area to be epilated is typically dusted with powder prior to application of the sugaring solution, which is spread on with a spatula, tongue depressor, or other flat object. After the sticky paste is applied to the skin, a strip of porous cloth or paper is pressed into the preparation. The strip is then quickly pulled away in the opposite direction of hair growth, taking hairs with it.
The above is a description for "sugar waxing"- There is another form of "sugaring" which is considered to be the ancient form of this technique. "Sugaring" uses a thick sugar paste consisting of sugar, lemon and water. The ball of paste is applied and molded, by hand, against the natural direction of hair growth and with a flick of the wrist the sugar is quickly removed in the direction of growth- taking the entire hair (root and all) with it. The same ball of sugar paste is used over and over again until all the hair has been removed. There is no risk of cross contamination with this technique making it a much more sanitary procedure than waxing. Although it's not painless this form of Sugaring tends to be considerably less painful than waxing as well. There are a number of reasons for this- The sugar paste will not adhere to the skin, the paste is heated to body temperature only, and the hair is extracted in the direction of growth making it more effective in extracting the entire hair and leaving little to no breakage.
Pre-made sugar waxing solutions are also sold under several brand names and can be found in most drug stores. Professional sugaring products can either be made at home or purchased from manufactures but they are sold to certified practitioners only.

Now why am I cynical enough to click on this thread on a friday night almost knowing there'd be no pics?
When it comes to stuff down under in germany there are actually very few laws. It is America which is the land of Mormons which has far more hang ups sorry laws sorry "morals" in this area.

I think I remembered...vaguely...from some Entertainment magazine, or whatever, that British celebs would go to New York specially to get the Brazilian Bikini wax done, because they wouldnt do it in England.
Anyone had it done? Does it hurt like hell? My man would be SOOOOOOOOOOO surprised ...

It takes ages to cut up all the candles you need with a razor, you should really use a blender and a microwave.

razor burn, ingrown hairs and stache rash*
*the sore red irritation around your mouth and cheeks the day after going down on a lady with 5 o'clock shadow (which depending on the lady can appear within 1-8 hours after shaving).

Shaving one's own buttcrack is difficult, and dangerous.
Shaving someone else's buttcrack is easier.

It all depends on your pain tolerance, really, and how good your waxer is. I would say no, but have a friend who can't stand it. Just try it out; they'll stop or take a break if it gets to be too much.

I had mine done for the first time about a month ago. I can recommend the Brasil Wax Studio on Schönhauser Allee 150 in Berlin - very nice Brazilian girls who will talk and joke with you while they work (distracts you from the pain), a laid-back atmosphere with Brazilian music playing, clean and private rooms, you can just walk in without an appointment... it all made me feel very comfortable (and I'm usually quite shy about that sort of thing). They offer different options; you don't have to have a full Brazilian. The pain was less bad than I'd expected. I am really happy with the results and am definitely never going back to my former hirsute ways - it just feels really clean and groomed. Lasts about 3-4 weeks. I have always hated shaving down there because it starts growing back and itching straight away. Brazilians are definitely the way forward for me.

or when making out with a guy (for those who like doing that) who has a shadow and having your chin be red and splotchy for a day or two. everyone who sees it knows what you have been doing.

TT waxing threadsOh how I love the idea of an
illegal plumage.
That burly motorcycle cops would knock at my door demanding to view the evidence and...Er.
Sorry.
Lost the plot a bit there.
These days, I go to
senzera, not always the best but seriously cheap (especially if you use their Abo service) and very quick.
Some Turkish salons offer sugaring, am not personally a fan myself.

And that's when you see marketing is the key, who the hell would get their bits waxed by someone just because their cartoons are cute?! Damn. Ah well.
