TT anniversaries and monumental events

I just realized I have been on TT for 5 years now. Unf*ckingbelievable! FIVE YEARS of my life have been wasted usefully spent on this forum. Most of my relationships haven't even lasted this long!

Oh, I wish they would block this site from work, natch!

Time does fly when you're having a good time involved in stale flame wars on the same subjects over and over again.

I just celebrated my third "anniversary", and it feels like yesterday when I got owned by IPJ for being a little too cheeky for a newbie in one of my first posts...

Elf - guilty also as charged. I am also 5 years into my stretch here on TT. i joined when you logged in via a dial up modem!

Speaking of monumental events, I seem to have missed the millionth post. A quick search didn't show any celebratory thread, though perhaps my search-fu is weak today.

Any idea who made the millionth post?

Also, I recently passed the one year mark myself. Still feel a bit newbie, though...

Oops my fifth anniversary was the 24th and I missed it - but that's only this board. I was on the previous board as well - but I haven't got a clue when that started. I'm sure Uncle Bob would know.

Well I guess it all depends on what you class my anniversary as... 16th December 2003 I joined theoretically.

I think at the time I was also still on a dial up connection...

Did we have to rejoin at some point? I thought 2002 was the original board?

If you sort members according to date all the usual suspects joined on 24th of September 2002... if my memory serves me correctly we were using a different software and had to re-register.

ahhh, that was 2 days before I joined, so either i joined just after it happened, or I was slow on the rejoining uptake, as per usual...
