This sounds incredibly lame and irresponsible...and it is...but my friend is missing. We didn't arrange a 'go to' place, because I never thought it would even be necessary to do so. But, he went to the bathroom and never came back. He wasn't at the bikes, never called, nothing. He is supposed to be on a plane tomorrow at 8am back to London and I do not know where the hell he is.
Any tips on how to find him??

Is his stuff at your place? Does he know where that place is? Does he have a phone number for you?

His stuff is at my place. Earlier this evening he claimed to know my number...but he hasn't called it...and he has been missing for a few hours. I highly doubt he knows where the place is. I did leave a note on the bike he rode down to the wiesn with the address...but who knows if he will see it.

i'm sure he will remember where the bikes were, no? was he hammered when he went to the bathroom?
the night is young, dont panic just yet. the beer compass will see him home. assuming you cycled to the fest, not that far, and he was sober when you went there?

He's a big boy, you've done what you can and it's up to him to catch the flight, not you. He wouldn't be the first to have missed a flight after a great visit to Oktoberfest. If he hasn't shown up or made contact by noon tomorrow, then I'd start to get seriously worried.

1. At what time did you last see him?
2. How much had he had to drink?
3. Which tent were you in?
4. How long after he went to the toilets did you leave the tent?
5. Has he been here before or is this a first visit?
6. What happens when you call his phone?

Surely he would contact a 3rd party - mutual friend or relative - and get a message to you? Worst case scenario is he spends a night under the arches and misses his flight. There will be more planes in future. Shit happens and as they say:
The adventure STARTS when thing start going wrong.

1. Not sure. 7 something.
2. He had 3 maß earlier today...took a 2 hour break, left the wiesn, went back. Max 2 after that.
3. Hofbräu- at a table (he never went back)
4. I left the tent an hour later. Walked around looking, went into the tent again, left, went back to the bikes to wait, left a note on the bikes, went back to the Hofbräu tent, went back tot he bikes, came home
5. First visit
6. No phone.
Edit: I sent him an email with all of the details- address, phone, ect...so hopefully if he thinks to check his email, he can find me!

I understand he is a big boy...but I still responsible for him...I know I couldn't have held his hand in the bathroom...but as I said, I still feel very responsible...and like I have done a shit job as a friend.

He should have asked you for these details before you guys headed over to the OF. He is a grown man and if he gets lost he has to face the consequences, so it's not your fault.
