Anyone know good temping agencies here in Munich?
Manpower told me to come back when I could speak German. Admitedly I used the word 'Lebensmittel' instead of 'Lebenslauf'. I was nervous.

The big names are the place to go really. For example:

Try:
DIS AGThey're very good. I'm not sure how they are about English/German etc., but it's worth a go. They have a good reputation.

You might also try P+C in Rosental who put a lot of people into the EPO, where of course a lot of the work is in English.
But, at the end of the day even if you worrk in a multi-national company it is very likely you are going to have to speak German. In my company all department internal stuff is in German for example and a lot of the staff (although we are the European HQ) have real problems with English.
I sincerely doubt that you get a job if you can't do the interview in German.
Sorry if that sounds harsh, but... maybe wait a bit and in the meantime stay out of expat zones and practice your German?
All the best!

Hi,
I've hired good temp staff from here:
gfz-muenchen.de but without good knowledge of German (unless it is for a specialist/technical post) it could be difficult to find something. Topsy's and grtho's two suggested agencies are also excellent.
EPO work is not for Erdbeere because she is a US citizen and does not have citizenship of an EP member state.

Hi
I am looking for an English-speaking employment agency or some agency which can help with employment of airline staff.
Anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks.

So since the last post in 2004 has anyone, preferably non-EU citizen without fluent German, had success finding a job through a temping agency here? What was your experience? How does it work?

Can I make a suggestion? Try Albecon.
It is quite hard to get taken on by them, but they are friendly, extremely professional and generally deal with the sort of companies that like English speakers.

I do not recommend P&C Team whatsoever. I was employed by them for eight months; stay clear!

Hi all,
it looks like I will be made redundant from my job soon and I really, really don't want to leave Munich.
Does anybody know of any good employment/recruitment agencies who could help me find another job? I speak reasonable conversational German, but I am by no means fluent.
I am looking for administration, book-keeping or recruitment work. Any help, ideas or recommendations would be really appreciated.

Try Robert Half Deutschland (previously Accountemps). They specialise in accounting work and have contacts at a lot of international companies. You can temp with them or ask them to find something permanent for you.

Hang on, are you in Temp Limbo? that wonderful mafia state that the E*O keeps people in, in order to make us make them loadsa dosh? Dangling the promise of permanence and a taxfreeeeeeeeeeee...waheeeeeey! existence until you realize you're being exploited and by then you're so enamoured of the E?O stassis that the promise of getting a state funeral for temping a pen for 30 years seems realistic and commendable? Ermmm...I'll get me coat.
So no, temp agencies are utter parasites. Agreeed?

Hi everyone,
After one and a half years in Munich I think it's about time to move away from teaching! Does anyone know of any Zeitarbeit firms that are looking for or that employ English speakers. I also have Grundstüfe Deutsch so can also speak a bit.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

After one and a half years in Munich you might also want to consider updating your TT profile to show you are no longer in UK
