I heard this on the radio this morning and nearly choked on my Muesli: At the Oktoberfest, an inebriated young Swiss guy tried to murder one of the phantoms on the ghost train ride. The ghoul gave him such a fright that he went berserk and attacked it with a wooden stick he was carrying. Since ghosts have a tendency to be dead anyway, he didn't succeed in killing it, but he did manage to put it out of action and will have to pay for the repair costs.

The funniest bit in that report is the bit underneath about the Chilean girl being hurt by an American throwing a carrot, a WMD, Weapon of Möhre Destruction.

Lovely story! I also like the sarcastic bent of the article. Like quoting the police report that assumes "the carrot has been thrown in a state of high spirits". And I thought the throwing has been the result of meticulous deliberation! But no, it was thrown out of Uebermut!
Also, they call the Swiss an "Eidgenossen", I think the Swiss hate being called like this by the German press even they pride themselves of being "oath associates".
And finally, the note that the ghost on the picture is not the one which got hurt. Can't imagine a better job than reporter at the Wiesn!

That recalls a sketch from Gerhard Polt to me ... If you understand German, listen to "Der Nobelpreisträger" from the Album "Attacke auf Geistesmensch".
One of the guys in the sketch beets up a ghost with a chair leg.
