I don't think that
Schindler's was in business that long, but noticed the other day that it is now going to be
Bagel Brothers. It looks intersting and makes me really wish I could eat Bagels (one of the main things I miss being gluten free).
They have 14 shops throughout Germany. The Munich shop on the
corner of Schelling/Augustenstr is set to open in November.

Oh go eat a Bagel.. It won't kill ya to have one (unless your allergic to Gluton, and not just on a Glutin free diet)...

actually, if you have an allergy to gluten it can kill you, well perhaps not kill you, but make you super sick.

Well, will have to try it out this weekend and see if it's up to the Bagel & Muffin shop on Barerstr. Everytime I went past Schindlers Schnitzel, it was empty...the establishment next door was always chocker

Never had their Schnitzel. Schindler's suffered from being located too close to
Steinheil 16, home to the best Schnitzel in town IMO (or "Schnitzel the size of Kansas", as one visitor put it).

Bagel Brothers coming to
Frankfurt changed our life. They're the real deal.
The only side note I'd make is that their website has the most
unironic observation I've ever seen:
It was a beautiful summer day in 1995 when Gregor Gerlach and Christian Kiefer were enjoying a fresh bagel sandwich on the terrace of a bagel shop in Chicago. They were wondering why there weren’t any bagels in Germany. In that moment, the idea of today’s “Bagel Brothers-Sandwich Restaurant was born, which came to realization in Germany in July 1996.Clue: Have a good hard think about what happened to all those German bagel makers.
I really don't give a crap ... the Bagel Brothers bagels are awesome because they have the right equipment and, most importantly, the right attitude ...
H&H-grade.

I order (through the post) from the BB every month. Good bagels, but avoid the muffins (too cakey)...

How do they compare to the Bagels & Muffins joint on Barerstr?

their bagels are actually pretty good...definitely enough to fix my cravings and they aren't too expensive...I order their smallest 'bagelpacket' which is 36 bagels for 24€ including shipping...just hard to make room in the freezer for 3 dozen bagels sometimes

So I finally got my ass (very toned and hot thank you) down to the Bagel Brothers joint in the weekend. My verdict, they're ok, nowhere near as good as the Bagels & Muffins joint on Barerstr. They're kinda like the McDonalds of bagels I reckon.

Huh. When I went to the place on Barerstr., I wound up with a roll with a hole in it, not a proper bagel at all. And as someone who spent summers growing up working in my father's bagel store on Long Island, I know whereof I speak.

i do this too from time to time and my other Ami bagel-loving friends agree this is the next best thing to NY bagels. it's fun getting them delivered to work.

I've been there twice, last time being this afternoon, and have to say, I won't be going back. Maybe the bagels are ok or not, but I couldn't even get a decent latte there. And then because the guy got the order wrong, he was a bit miffed at having to redo the order not once, but twice! I'll be saving my coffee sprees for a real café from now on.

I'm deffo no bagel connoisseur, but the food (bagels/bread rolls with holes or whatever) that comes out of Bagels & Muffins tastes better than the food that comes outta Bagel Brothers IMO. They may not be bagels like NYC, but I think they taste thuperdooper

The bagels are not anywhere as great as from H&H in NYC, but a lot closer here in MUC.
Not bad.
Especially the shmear was fresh, they appear to generate lots of business all day long.
