just tried to book a table over the phone but they won't take bookings for tonight, but if i get there for 7 then i'm sure we'll get a table.

is there any chance someone could turn up then as well so i'm not a billy no mates.

The Christmas Market & Glühwein season is kicking up soon. It would be great if we could get together for that. the next bi-weekly event is scheduled for this coming Tuesday, Nov. 27 (or to not compete with the quiz night at Murphy's in MA, then we could move it to Weds). I can make it the 2nd week of December!

Ommthree - as a heidelberger do you have any location suggestions? I've never noticed the names of places I have been in the few times I have been out in HD... I guess the HD meet should be either Wednesday or Thursday. Any takers for Thursday? (it seems more convenient from the above posts). For me it makes no difference.

I can't do Thursday for the Heidelberg meet-up Tue/Wed/Fri. work.

i'm with elfenstar on loving the xmas markets and gluwein plus they close at 9/10ish so its not a late night.

If anyone wants to meet up after the 15th for some gluhwein in Heidelberg or Mannheim I am in! (My designated driver doesn't return until then... )

i think its suppose to be the mannheim drinks this week, and as usual nothing really planned

me and chezza have been talking and we think we should get togther for a last Xmas drink before people go home or away for xmas.

for me thursday or friday would be better, would prefer to stay in Mannheim as i'm on crutches and getting places is a little nightmare right now.

there was a suggestion before about doing something at someones house with all the quiz winnings!

My hubs and I were in HD at last Saturday's Christmas Markt meet and had a great time!

I think most people are still away for xmas at the moment but hopefully we'll be back in full swing next week.

We meet most weeks on the mannheim side for the pub quiz at murphys law as well as this drinks so keep a eye to that threat as well, but i'll try to PM you as well.

If where ever you go is in crutch hopping distance from a strassenbahn then count me in as well.

i can recommend other places in mannheim other than murphys, but not very good with heidelberg.

I'd be into somewhere less Irish! I thought Cafe Journal was a good idea last time - but then its always good to try new places too.

Cafe Journal is nice but i've only ever had coffee there and never been there in the evening.

Tomate is very nice as well and its not normally too busy, http://www.tomate-mannheim.de

Andalucia is also cool on the ring if people like spanish food.

If people wanna try a very german restaurant we should go to Heimlein its opposite Old Vienna in Mannheim for those who know where that is. (2mins from Marktplatz, 5mins from paradeplatz)

Any place in Mannheim or HD should work for me... Tues. is fine. Although, might I suggest making our fortnightly meets on a different day from Tues.? It`ll eventually split up those who might like to attend both the fortnightly drinks and the pub quiz... my 0.02€ worth... Cheers!

After plotting with Jodie, I suggest tomorrow night pub quiz at Murphys and then going out on Saturday night for a new year drink or food if we want.

So any takers for Murphys? (Special subject: Poisons).

And how about Saturday? The venue (and indeed city) is up for grabs.

Ok me and Ferkel came up with a possible plan, as we're leaving to late to get a table for tomorrow night for lots of people.

we thought maybe do the pub quiz at murphy's tomorrow night and a drinks meet up at the weekend on friday or Saturday night. At the weekend we can do either mannheim or heidelberg we can go with the majority vote.

If anyone has a better idea then say but we thought we'd get the ball rolling!

Also who is likely to be there?
