I would like to get some piece of advice here. I was awarded a DAAD schlarship to do a master program here in Germany. i'm from non EU country and the basic requirement for the schlarship is that I will return to my home country and resume work with my former employer. However, I have just been informed that the company can no longer re-employ me on my return due to some financial problems and the company is closing down.
Now i'm really confused because I intend to extend my residence permit here in Germany so I can look for job. i'm almost completing the master program as an Engineering student. Please advice me.

Talk to the organization which gave you the scholarship.

Yeah, you need to talk to someone at the DAAD in Bonn and/or your home country.
You have two issues: 1) the conditions set by the DAAD (which has given you a scholarship mostly from federal funds): you should ask DAAD for permission to violate the original terms of your scholarship. You should work with them because you don't want to burn your bridges with the DAAD should you later apply for another program, etc.
2) getting a residence/work permit. I don't think they will care about the DAAD conditions.
